ABOUT

Cyborgs Making Out is the artist duo between life partners, artist Agnes Hjalmarsson and musician Andy Yeo, working across different mediums such as, video, photography, sound, and installation. Rooted in their shared experiences as third culture kids growing up in Sweden, their work navigates questions of ethnicity, identity, and cultural in-betweenness.

Through experimental, disciplinary projects, they construct a fictional world—a manifactured cultural heritage— where ancestral history merges with personal memories and pop culture. In this universe, they explore what it means to feel out of place, to be represented and to long for a home that may not exist.

Their pieces often blur the line between documentary and fantasy, weaving together visuals and sound that speak to the fragmented nature of memory and diaspora. Cyborgs Making Out is both a personal love story and a public archive of an ethnic gorup without history —one that will continue to evolve through new projects and collaborations.
