Terms and conditions
By paying the deposit, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement. Most of these points can be discussed and changed with no problem as long as it's communicated beforehand.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the full amount is required to secure the commission.
The remaining balance is due upon completion, prior to delivery or shipping.
The estimated completion time for the painting is 4–8 weeks from the date of deposit and agreement but can be made a lot shorter (and sometimes longer) depending on the client's needs and the artist's schedule. This will be communicated beforehand.
Delays due to illness, travel, or force majeure will be communicated promptly.
If the client cancels or withdraws from the commission after the deposit is paid, the deposit is non-refundable. This covers materials, planning, and time invested.
If the artist is unable to complete the painting due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, the client will receive a full refund of any deposit or payments made.
The artist will update the client throughout the process and the client will be able to request minor changes. Major changes may incur an additional fee.
The final artwork will be shipped to the client once the full payment is received. The costs will be discussed in advance and are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise agreed upon.
The artist retains full copyright and reproduction rights to the artwork unless the client's communicates other requirements beforehand.
The client receives the physical painting and may post and display it for personal, non-commercial use, unless the client's communicates other wishes beforehand.
The client may not reproduce, edit, or sell prints of the artwork without written permission, unless the client's communicates other wishes beforehand.
The artist may use photos of the artwork (including in-progress shots) for their portfolio, website, social media, or promotional materials, unless the client requests otherwise beforehand.
